José builds the body of the baby bass out of one solid piece of wood and hollows it using cuatro making techniques. In order to make the instrument lightweight, he hand carves the neck with a traditional head scroll. 

​José also hand carves calligraphy-style designs into the body and customizes the stain and finish. He hand crafts all the pickup components and his own bridges. 

José starts each design with the highest quality of woods. He hand carves the scrolled neck and unique designs, customizes the inlay, sound board, stain, finish and components.
